We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the information handled when you use the “Hosnek” app.

1. Information We Collect

Hosnek does not require users to create an account or provide a name, phone number, or email address to use the app’s core features.

Limited technical data may be recorded for analytics and service operation, such as visit time and an approximate city inferred from the Internet Protocol (IP) address. Hosnek does not request precise GPS location for this purpose. This data is not used to create a personal profile about the user.

If notifications are enabled, Hosnek may store a device Push Token solely for the purpose of delivering Hosnek notifications to that device.

For the “online now” feature, Hosnek may use a random session identifier together with the most recent time the app was active. This identifier does not contain the user’s name, phone number, or email address.

To calculate total app installations, Hosnek may create a random installation identifier that is not linked to the user’s name, phone number, or email address. This identifier is used only to avoid counting the same installation more than once when the app is opened again.

2. Suggestions and Feedback

If you submit a suggestion or feedback through the app, the message content and submission date are stored so that the Hosnek administrator can review them and use them to improve the service.

3. How We Use Data

Collected data is used only to operate Hosnek, improve the service, review suggestions and feedback, understand general app usage, deliver notifications, display an approximate count of users currently active in the app, and calculate the total number of app installations.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell user data and do not use it for targeted advertising.

Hosnek uses Supabase to store data required for certain service functions, including suggestions, visit analytics, approximate city information, notification tokens, anonymous session data, random installation identifiers, and scheduled notifications.

Hosnek also uses notification services provided by Expo and Apple to deliver notifications to user devices when notifications are enabled.

5. Data Security

We use appropriate technical measures intended to help protect data from unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Data is retained only as needed to operate and improve the service. Notification tokens and technical session data may be removed or disabled when no longer needed. Users may also request deletion of data associated with a suggestion or feedback message by contacting the Hosnek administrator.

7. Children

Hosnek is not designed to collect personal information from children, and users are not required to provide personal information to use the app’s core features.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when necessary. The updated version will be published on this page together with the revised “Last updated” date.
